About me
I'm a very good band drummer. Technically strong (lots of rudiments in marching bands), with good musical sensibilities. I've had experience in multiple bands across wide-ranging genres: including indie, rock, pop, shoegaze, punk, folk, gypsy, ska, funk and reggae. I'm looking to work part-time as a drummer in a band or bands, ideally with a focus on rehearsing, recording and performing live. Basically, I love making music with people who are passionate about the songs and sharing them with others. I have a job three-days a week that pays the bills so I'm in the lucky situation of wanting to give some time to making music without needing to worry too much about the money,
Maybe you're reforming and your original drummer isn't available, maybe your drummer left, or maybe you're looking to record or gig in the UK. If so drop me a line with some links to your music and an idea of what you need. I'm based in Oxford, UK but can travel.
This site brings together my recent experience in the Balkan Wanderers, Secret Rivals and also gives a bit of history with the experience I had in the early days of Slowdive (and the Pumpkin Fairies, an earlier incarnation).
There's a whole host of photographs and videos on this site. I haven't attributed them individually but want to give a shout out to three fantastic Oxford based photographers who document the local scene with love and care. Check out their photos - although be warned you will wish you had been at the gigs they have covered!
Big shout outs to... Ian Hanham, Andy aka Pittoad, and Alan, who, along with others do a sterling job documenting the local music scene. Most of the photos are from them, with other photos and the videos being from friends and family.
